Lethbridge College is making it easier for prospective students to pursue their post-secondary educational goals. The Winter Open House takes place on Saturday and everyone who applies on-the-spot will have the application fees waived.

The newly published winter issue of Wider Horizons, Lethbridge College’s award-winning alumni and community magazine, tackles a critical issue facing the community – the opioid crisis.

Lethbridge College is inviting those with an interest in virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) to join its new book club. The VR Book Club is just like any other book club, but with a twist - the capabilities of virtual reality mean it's open to anyone across the world.

Lethbridge College and 11 other journalism schools from across Canada are joining forces to strengthen journalism education, creating a new organization called J-Schools Canada/ÉcolesJ.

A group of 12 Alberta post-secondary institutions have signed a memorandum of understanding supporting Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Reservists who are college employees or students.

Lethbridge College has once again been recognized as one of Canada’s top 50 research colleges. The college placed 50^th in the 2018 rankings, released on Thursday by Research Infosource. It is the second-straight year – and the fifth time in the last six years – that Lethbridge College has been included in the rankings.

Lethbridge College has received its first institutional grant funding from the federal government’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), a relative rarity for colleges. Lethbridge College’s SSHRC grant will provide $45,000 over three years to support small-scale research and related activities.

Lethbridge College’s magazine, Wider Horizons, has been named the best community college magazine in North America for the fourth time in the last five years in the CASE Circle of Excellence award competition.

Lethbridge College’s Agricultural Enterprise Management (AEM) program kicks off this September, and those students enrolled in full-time AEM studies in its first year will receive a one-time $1,000 tuition credit.

 

Lethbridge College received a gold Program Excellence award at the Colleges and Institutes Canada annual conference The award was for the competency-based Police Cadet Training program. The innovative and collaborative program meets the specific needs of southern Alberta police services and is the only police training program of its kind at a public college in Canada.
