President and CEO Dr. Paula Burns will sit on an economic recovery task force created by Alberta’s 11 Comprehensive Community College’s to assist the work of local, provincial and federal governments, and industry, as they tackle the economic challenges faced as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Lethbridge College preparing for Fall semester
Planning is underway for Lethbridge College’s Fall semester. Uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic means final decisions on delivery of the Fall term won’t be made until later in the summer, but the college is actively planning scenarios that will allow all students to receive a high-quality education in a safe manner that complies with provincial guidelines.

New member appointed to Board of Governors
The Government of Alberta has appointed a new member to Lethbridge College’s Board of Governors. Karri Flatla has been appointed to a three-year term that began March 17.

Lethbridge College has been recognized as one of Canada’s top 50 research colleges for the sixth time in seven years. The college rose three spots to 47th in the annual rankings released by Research Infosource.

Lethbridge College Plumbing apprentice off to nationals
A first-year Plumbing apprentice from Lethbridge College will compete next week in the Skills Canada National Competition.
“I’ve never been to Halifax and I’m really looking forward to it,” says 19-year-old Justin Dekok, who leaves Saturday for the Nova Scotia capital with 60 other high school and post-secondary teammates on Team Alberta.
Lethbridge College wins big at CASE VIII awards
Lethbridge College’s Advancement team was recognized for its outstanding work by winning six CASE District VIII 2019 Communications Awards at a ceremony in Vancouver. The college received five awards for exemplary achievement in marketing and communications while senior communications specialist Paul Kingsmith received a Rising Star award.
Community input sought on educational needs of Taber and Area
Residents of Taber and its nearby communities now have the chance to provide feedback on the educational needs of the community and guide future programming. The Community Survey of Educational Needs is available online and will help gauge how Lethbridge College can serve the region.
