Lethbridge College’s Geomatics Engineering Technology program has received national recognition. On Thursday, the Technology Accreditation Canada presented faculty with a certificate that signifies the program has been nationally accredited.

Lethbridge College’s Police Cadet Training program welcomed a new class of 34 cadets this morning from five different agencies. This class is unique as it marks the first time in Alberta’s history that police recruits and community peace officer recruits will train side-by-side.

Multiple tonnes of southern Alberta’s most common soil types sit inside three massive, custom-built wooden bins at Lethbridge College. Housed inside the college’s Innovation Space in the Trades, Technologies and Innovation Facility, the soil is being used to test subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) systems – without the variable factors of wind, rain or gophers. The applied research project is led by Dr. Willemijn Appels, the college’s Mueller Applied Research Chair in Irrigation Science.

The very real world of virtual reality will be explored during an innovative industry-leading conference hosted by Lethbridge College. Merging Realities: An Event of Multiple Perspectives takes place on April 26. The conference features renowned guests from the fields of virtual and augmented reality.

The Child Care Director’s Association of Southwestern Alberta (CCDA) is hosting a conference this weekend at Lethbridge College titled “The Incomparable Learning Environment, Outdoor Play: There’s Nothing Else Like It.” More than 225 participants are confirmed to attend. 

The third annual Tecconnect Challenge has the college's media students create inspired, meaningful designs for a client, before thinking about the art of the pitch as they try to get local entrepreneurs to buy into their creative vision.
