Second annual symposium showcases research on student learning

Lethbridge College celebrates two types of research occurring on campus with its inaugural Lethbridge College Research Days today and tomorrow. This first day showcases Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research, which is research devoted to improving student learning. Lethbridge College has an internal fund to support such research, and both teaching and non-teaching staff can apply for support to conduct this work. This is the second annual SoTL conference. The event will be opened and closed by guest speaker Nicola Simmons of Brock University, who founded SoTL Canada in 2012. In between, Lethbridge College SoTL researchers will share information about the research process. This event is for college employees. Lethbridge College Research Days continues Tuesday.
