Lethbridge College’s campus is open to all as Coulee Fest returns for a second year on Saturday. The free event features fun for all ages as a way for the college to say thank you to the community that has supported it for more than 60 years.

“Our campus has always been here to serve all of southern Alberta as a great place to learn, work and come together,” says Dr. Paula Burns, Lethbridge College President and CEO. “Coulee Fest encapsulates the best of that community spirit. I hope that everyone, whether you have life-long ties to the college or are visiting for the first time, can join us for this incredible day.”

Coulee Fest runs from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday on the east side of the Lethbridge College campus.

LC-Coulee-Fest-1.jpg This year’s line-up is now set and features five bands, 13 food trucks, beer gardens, a petting zoo, bouncy castles, Kodiaks Athletics mini-games, face painting, campus tours, more than 20 Lethbridge College programming showcases, a What the Junk vintage market with 35 vendors, and much more.

Everyone who attends Coulee Fest is invited to take part in the Coulee Fest Crawl game for a chance to win $250 grocery or gas cards. As well, all current Lethbridge College students can enter to win a $1,000 student award at the TD Insurance Meloche Monnex tent.

Two fundraisers for the Lethbridge College Students’ Association will take place throughout the day, as all proceeds from a dunk tank featuring “celebrities” from across campus and a 50/50 draw will support the LCSA Food Bank, the new Borrow a Textbook initiative and student awards.

Other important things to know about Coulee Fest:

  • Coulee Fest will take place, rain or shine!
  • Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.
  • Parking is free, but limited. Those attending are encouraged to walk, bicycle, carpool or use public transit.

Coulee Fest is supported by the generosity of its community partners: TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, 94.1 CJOC/98.1 The Bridge, Galko Homes Master Builder, Enmax Centre, Canada Homestay Network, Ashcroft Master Builder and Coulee Brew.
