The Lethbridge College Safety Program is designed to be administered under one Health and Safety Policy, communicating our expectation to provide a safe and healthy learning and work environment. Our Occupational Health and Safety Program is a part of the foundation of lifelong learning in safety principles, which provides our employees and students with a strong safety ethic in their chosen professions.

The Health and Safety Program is made up of the following eight elements:

  1. Organizational commitment
  2. Hazard assessment
  3. Hazard control and elimination
  4. Formal workplace inspection
  5. Orientation and training
  6. Emergency response
  7. Incident/accident reporting and investigation
  8. Program administration
