The Lethbridge College Safety Program is designed to be administered under one Health and Safety Policy, communicating our expectation to provide a safe and healthy learning and work environment. Our Occupational Health and Safety Program is a part of the foundation of lifelong learning in safety principles, which provides our employees and students with a strong safety ethic in their chosen professions.
The Health and Safety Program is made up of the following eight elements:
- Organizational commitment
- Hazard assessment
- Hazard control and elimination
- Formal workplace inspection
- Orientation and training
- Emergency response
- Incident/accident reporting and investigation
- Program administration
