Our partnerships with institutions around the world provide you with access to many international opportunities. So if you want to experience the world by studying, teaching, or volunteering abroad, you can.

Study Abroad

Study abroad opportunities allow you to put your classroom knowledge into practice. Depending on your program, you could be involved with capacity training in health and social services in developing countries or conducting field studies in foreign habitats.

Collaborative agreements

Collaborative agreements allow Lethbridge College students to pursue specialized training and education. We currently hold an agreement with:

Volunteer abroad

By volunteering abroad, you can have a chance to explore various career opportunities, gain valuable experience and broaden your sense of the world. The gift of your time – whether short term or long – creates a vibrant, connected and healthy community.

Volunteering in cross-cultural capacities can lead to development of cultural competency and increase your knowledge of the world around you. And the impact that you leave provides a positive experience for those encountering Canadian culture for the first time.

We encourage students, staff and faculty to consider gifting their time for a cause or organization they are passionate about.

Buiga Sunrise

Founded by a Lethbridge College alumnus, Buiga Sunrise is a non-profit organization in Uganda. Run entirely by volunteers, this community-led program supports a school, healthcare centre and other community programs and sustainability projects. Volunteers are welcome for any length of time.

If you are interested in this opportunity, you can find more information on the website or contact [email protected].

Bridges of Hope

Bridges of Hope is a Lethbridge-based international network of development agencies. The organization provides medical assistance, farming initiatives, water, and sponsorship programs to developing countries around the world. You can volunteer with Bridges of Hope right here in Canada or travel overseas with one of its many development organizations.

For more information, visit the website or email [email protected].
