This course covers the factors controlling soil formation in Western Canada and their application to the Canadian Soil Classification system, grassland communities, forest regions and habitat types. It will also cover physical and chemical properties of soils in addition to soil water relationships, nutrient supply and soil degradation in the management of selected natural resources.
