Brenda Brindle

Brenda was reappointed to the board for a three-year term effective Sept. 17, 2018. Her extensive background in agriculture includes two degrees from the University of Alberta – a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master of Science in Rural Economy. Retiring in 2013, Brenda has most notably worked for Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development as executive director and the Alberta Grain Commission as general manager.

Brenda has volunteered her time expansively in the community and beyond. She is currently a literacy tutor, and in the past she has facilitated workshops on board governance for the province’s Board Development Program, and on resume writing and basic computer skills for the Centre for Family Literacy. Brenda has also served as a board member of the Appeal Tribunal under the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act and is a past member of the Alberta Riparian Habitat Society.
