In collaboration with the University of Lethbridge and Medicine Hat College, we welcome Sheldon Kennedy from the Respect Group to our campus. Kennedy is a former professional hockey player and tireless advocate for respectful schools, teams and workplaces. In this live-streamed, fireside chat at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, Kennedy will share his vision to eliminate bullying, abuse, harassment, and discrimination, as well as sharing what he has learned about creating a culture of respect.
Please consider joining online with your centre and department colleagues or your class of students. If you plan to watch online with a group, please register directly with Laura Morden. Registration is limited for this event and we want to make sure we can accommodate as many viewers as possible.
Creating a culture of respect is part of Lethbridge College’s commitment to ensuring an inclusive, healthy learning and working environment for students and employees. This session is offered in support of LC Cares: Stronger Together, our institutional health and wellness strategy, which calls on all individuals to make health and wellbeing a priority in their personal and professional lives.
