If you have been struggling recently to find the positives or feeling like you are not coping as well as you would like, join us to get concrete take-aways that you can use in your daily life! This session will focus on key qualities of resilience: grit, optimism, gratitude, self-compassion, and mindfulness. Marianne Martin and Diane Fjordbotten will help you to understand what each quality is, why it’s important to your wellness, and show you a strategy to help build that skill. Participants are asked to bring a list of their ‘top five’ character strengths to the session. Many Lethbridge College employees completed the Strengthsfinder© assessment several years ago and can use that information, or a free character strengths survey is available at https://www.viacharacter.org/survey/account/register. (You’ll need to create a free account.)
In addition to a great workshop, there is also an opportunity to win a prize! For each workshop you attend you will be entered into a draw to win an exciting prize. The more workshops you attend the more opportunities you have to win!
