Rev'd Canon Erin Phillips, Ecumenical Campus Ministry presents Spirituality and Mental Health. In recent years it has become more commonplace to recognize the connections between mental health and other factors like social and economic well being and physical health.
Less frequently discussed is the connection between spirituality and mental health. Yet a number of medical organizations and schools have done significant work in identifying the connections between mental health and a variety of spiritual practices. This workshop will introduce participants to what is included in spirituality and what studies have found concerning the relationship between mental health and spiritual practice. Resources for further study will also be shared.
