The college is teaming up with the OUTreach of Southern Alberta Community Education Program to present an LBGTQ+ Awareness and How to Be an Ally session on campus. This session will be divided into two main components; Queer 101 focuses on LGBTQ+ terminology and language, clarifying terms and providing a space for discussion about sexual orientation and gender identity. The second portion of the session will be on what LGBTQ+ allyship truly means and how to become an ally. The same session will be offered three times. The sessions are open to all employees and students.
