Join Agent as we welcome Tawnya Plain Eagle for Alberta's Women in Entrepreneurship Week Speaker Series. This virtual fireside chat and Q&A is open to all students, staff, and members of the community. Hear Tawnya's journey through entrepreneurship and how she aims to support her community.

Tawnya Plain Eagle graduated from Lethbridge College in 2016, followed by Mount Royal University with her Bachelor of Communications Degree in 2019. She transformed the Piikani Nation's local newsletter, Piikani Tsi Nii Ka Sin, to a small newspaper and online news source. A year later, she launched 106.3 Piikani Nation Radio to fill a gap in her community by sharing traditional Blackfoot culture, Elder talks, and shedding light on important issues that impact the Blackfoot community and Indigenous peoples as a whole.

"Our outcry can fall on deaf ears in mainstream media, so I like to be able to provide people from home a safe place to share their stories." - Tawnya Plain Eagle.
