Our students are resilient. They have the determination, grit and education needed to make a positive impact in our world. They are problem solvers, entrepreneurs, risk-takers, innovators and - let’s not forget - our future workforce. They are ready to rise.
But now, they have new struggles to face, including job losses, lack of summer employment, adjusting to digital and virtual learning, acquiring the technology needed to be successful, rising tuition and declining household incomes. Lethbridge College students – like people across the region and around the world – are struggling as they face financial hurdles and mental health and wellness challenges.
Now more than ever, our students need an investment in their education. Now more than ever, they need support to gain the skills and experiences that will help them succeed in any industry and teach them how to rise up and find solutions to problems facing communities and countries.
