Lethbridge Colleges a Selfie ID service for all student and employee ID cards. Whether you’re a new student getting your first student ID or a long-time employee who needs a replacement card, you can now submit your own digital photograph to use as your ID. Just follow the steps below.

How to request an ID card:

  1. Log into MyLC
  2. Click the Student ID tile
  3. Fill in your information
  4. Select the card type you are requesting 
  5. Attach your selfie 
  6. Attach a photo of your government issued photo ID
  7. Click ‘”Submit” 

Selfie ID picture requirements (think gov’t picture but you can smile!): 

  1. Colour picture, clearly focused
  2. Full front view of head and shoulders on neutral background
  3. No obstructions of face (no glasses, hat, mask, veil, etc.)
  4. Can include eyeglasses
  5. Cannot be a photo of another photo 
  6. Must be in a jpg., png., or gif. file format (min 1 MB)

Please note: 

  • Returning students are not required to get a new student ID 
  • There is a $10 fee for replacement cards, payable to Lethbridge College Registration at 403-320-3323 via credit card or at the Registration front desk with cash or debit. 
  • When your ID card is ready, you will receive a confirmation email. Distance learning students will receive their ID cards in the mail. On-campus students and employees must bring their government-issued photo ID with them to pick up their cards at:
    • The Registrar’s Office PA1130 (staff and students)

Apprentice ID cards are taken to the Apprenticeship Trades building and distributed to the students by their program area

For Work Integrated Learning (WIL)/practicum placements, please send your Selfie ID information as directed above. Photo ID badges will be created and issued as follows:

  • Students registered in all Centre for Health and Wellness programs: contact the WILO (Work Integrated Learning Office) specialist connected with your program
  • Students registered in any other centre/program:  contact the practicum coordinator or program assistant connected with your program
