WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IS UP TO YOU
Since our foundation in 1957 as Canada’s first publicly funded community college, we have been connected with and committed to our community. The financial contributions of our donors — along with their ideas, imagination, time and energy — are investments that ensure our students will be ready for whatever their future holds. We can’t do it without you, and we’re grateful for your continued support.
When you give to Lethbridge College, you’ll be joining a proud and generous group of donors ready to make a difference. By supporting student awards, innovative research, capital infrastructure and new programs, your contributions shape the future of our college community. We are committed to ensuring that the training we deliver continues to meet the needs of industry and employers.

With a planned gift to Lethbridge College, you can ensure that your legacy lives on by supporting the creators, makers and innovators of the future.
Leave a bequest
A bequest allows you to make a major charitable contribution that may not be possible during your lifetime, and it reduces taxes payable on your estate. Your lawyer can prepare a new will or add a codicil to an existing will to allow your charitable wishes to be carried out. You remain in control of your assets and you can change your mind should your circumstances require it.
If you let us know that you have included Lethbridge College in your will, we can ensure that we document your wishes and implement them according to your plans. Talk to our team or your lawyer about sample wording to consider for your will.

Give a gift of securities
Securities are one of the easiest and most effective ways to give immediately or through a gift in your will, while providing you with significant tax advantages. The securities of publicly traded companies that are acceptable by the college are those that are registered for trade at a securities exchange in Canada or the United States. These also include mutual funds and some retirement plans (RRSPs, RRIFs and TFSAs).
We encourage donors to discuss proposed planned gifts with their independent legal, financial and/or tax advisors to make sure that they receive a full and accurate explanation of all aspects of their proposed charitable gift.
