SUR-1150 Land Survey I and Data Systems - 3.00 credits

SUR-1150  Land Survey I and Data Systems  (3 Credits)  An introduction to the theory and practice of surveying. Theory will be delivered via lecture and textbook. Fundamental topics such as, but not limited to, chaining, leveling and total station use will be introduced. The application and use of data generated by these methods will be focused on. Practical use of survey equipment will reinforce theory through "real world" applications. This course is taken by students from all three programs in the School of Engineering Technologies and is a base for future courses. Not available for supplemental.Instruction (3.0), Lab (3.0)Equivalent to SUR-150.Requisite courses: Take SUR-1150L (Required, Concurrent).
