ENG-1190 Introduction to Language and Literature - 3.00 credits

ENG-1190  Introduction to Language and Literature  (3 Credits)  This course introduces students to English studies at the post-secondary level. The course focuses on exploring language in written texts, particularly short prose fiction and non-fiction, as well as poetry. Students will increase their awareness of different uses of language and rhetorical strategies as they respond to and interpret literature, analyse readings, and develop their own essays, including an academic research paper.
