EDU-2266 Sensory Impairments - 3.00 credits

EDU-2266  Sensory Impairments  (3 Credits)  This course is a blend of theory and practice, examining educational issues and techniques in supporting children affected by autism, visual and hearing impairments. Each syndrome will be looked at from a sensory perspective. The use of augmentative communication systems such as sign language and picture exchange systems and amplification systems as well as strategies to work with children affected by sensory impairments will be discussed.
