EDU-1153  Foundations of Educational Assistance  (3 Credits)  This course is an introduction to the professional behaviours and attitudes that are required by the Educational Assistant in the school system. Emphasis will be on the government's special education standards in the schools, the coding classification for students with disabilities, the philosophy and practice of inclusion, the legal and ethical issues concerning children with disabilities and the roles and responsibilities of the Educational Assistant in supporting students with disabilities under the guidance of the teacher.
