EDD-2285 Environmental Systems - 3.00 credits

EDD-2285  Environmental Systems  (3 Credits)  An introduction to the fundamental concepts of heat transfer and the application of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and domestic hot water systems to residential and light commercial buildings. A building will be modeled for heat transfer, and cost-benefit analyses will be conducted to determine optimum performance for a specific climate. The concepts of passive solar gain, indoor air quality, and renewable technologies including solar photovoltaic, solar water heating, and ground-source heat pumping will also be developed.
