Sarah Harland is a student representative on the Board of Governors for the 2022-23 academic year. Sarah is already a dual graduate of Lethbridge College, having completed her Journeyman and Red Seal in Culinary Arts in 2012, and her Early Childhood Education certificate in 2020. She is currently a student in the General Arts and Science program, majoring in psychology and sociology.
During the 2021-22 academic year, Sarah was a student ambassador for the college’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, helping to organize and promote events that encouraged equity, diversity and inclusion both on-campus and in the community. She has also volunteered time in the college’s Pride Lounge, helping direct students to college wellness supports that could be beneficial to them.
Sarah has worked through numerous learning challenges during her time at the college, which gives her a strong understanding of how challenging college can be for students. In her free time, she enjoys figure skating and plans to begin competing this season.
