Kodiaks men’s volleyball team competes in provincials

After what was supposed to be a rebuilding year, the Kodiaks men’s volleyball team qualified for the Alberta College’s Athletic Conference (ACAC) championships and did not disappoint. The men traveled to Augustana to work toward their goal of an ACAC title. Unfortunately, the team ran into a road block against the higher seed NAIT Ooks in the quarterfinal and fell 19-17 in the fifth set to move to the B side of the championships. After another heartbreaking fifth set loss against Kings College, the season came to an end for the Kodiaks. Ian Bennett earned the ACAC South Coach of the Year honours, Kai Hesthammer was selected as the ACAC South Rookie of the Year, and Andres Pires was selected to the All-Conference team.
